Been a away a while....

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't posted in nearly three weeks. In my own life I was busy working and had little time to play WoW, so I didn't have many fun/interesting experiences to share. We haven't progressed far in raiding, but some things have happened, so I'll have content for a while. I'll probably start posting again on a regular basis on Monday. However, I may not be posting a screenshot and a post everyday. I may alternate or something. Who knows?

OMGCATATALENTS

Ok, so you can go to wowtal.com to look at the cataclysm talent trees, all 31 points deep.

They're really weird and I will do a semi-thorough analysis of them as Blizz goes along and says that they're where they want em.

In other news, the job and the raiding schedule (which is now even more ridiculous) is straining me to post at a reasonable time.

So you'll likely be seeing double days, or technically four part days.

Best of luck.

Another Note From the Management.

News flash: I sometimes don't post the day it is due.

I used to be able to open the 'new post' tab before midnight, fill it out after my raid and be happy deceiving you all.

However, they changed it. So you get to see the real time of post, unless I want to go back and forge the time-stamp for my late posts.

If these needed to be in on a precise time-table, well, I'd manage that.

So, as of this message (and a couple weeks back) you won't be getting two posts every day. You'll be getting two between every instance of 'sleeping for the night'. So it will be the same number, but I'm not going to be restricted by times anymore.

Looking for Ideas

Hey guys, I know you're out there. I know that there aren't too many of you who read this regularly, but if you do- I'm running low on ideas. Send me some. Otherwise, I'm going to actually have to think.

And thinking is bad.

Did you know that 100% of humans that think die with 150 years of their first thought, most a lot sooner, generally within fifty or sixty years?

Yeah. Thinking is bad.

So email ideas to eldritchreign(at)gmail(dot)com

Class Change Previews

I'll get to them. About a month or two after everyone else has had their three pence opinion.

I assure you, my opinion will be worth at least four pence!

Seriously though- I will get to them.

I'm sorry about the shortness of this post and the lack of effort I have put into it. It makes me sad. But I said that I would post daily and daily I shall post.

However, I am in the middle of writing my final papers- which of course, you may very well get to see because it saves me from actually thinking of what to write.

Update!

I've added another counter down at the bottom. The top one tracks independent visitors (by computer) and the other one merely tracks visits. Hopefully, the second will will soon past the first by a large marin.

200!

This is my 200th post. I would consider doing something special, but that may have to wait until I read the Paladin class changes list. Because of this landmark number of posts, I will be plugging this wherever I can and I will hope that I get many new readers.

If you ARE a new reader, first off, I apologize for the lack of sense many of my titles make (and some sentences).

Additionally, if you go to the directory, you should be able to find links to a couple sets of articles that you may or may not be interested in.

To be added to that collection in the near future are:
The 'WoW in Real Life' posts. A collection of posts looking at each class and naming some in game abilities that I would want in real life.
The 'Early Leveling Guide: The First 20 levels' this will be coming out slower and I will only write on those that I have leveled appropriately.

Directory installed

I've finally figured out how to post other pages. At the top of the page, below the title, you can see a link to the Directory.

Right now the Directory has minimal directions, but over time, when I have the patience, I will collect other pieces that should be brought together in a similar fashion.

Other pages similar to the Directory will be added, including the (eventually) full leveling guide for each class (as far as I can go with that). It is also possible that I will add other parts.

As another side note, I have achieved over 100 unique visitors to the site, a milestone of which I am proud.

Finally, this post is an experiment in Html, wherein I'm trying some other code. It is quite possible that you will not see anything special, but there may be more in the future.

Tool Tips!

As you may notice in the post titled: WoW in Real Life: Death Knights, I now have WoWhead tooltip implemented.

This makes me happy and a lot more likely to stick up links to WoWhead items, abilties etc....

My excuse- in detail.

So yesterday I didn't get a post in as mentioned. So I must describe why I missed that post and you can judge whether or not it was worth it.

So I got up just before 1 and almost instantly went to Mythos.

Mythos is a pseudo-larp/boff. When the weather is good we hit each other with foam swords and on occasion cast spells at each other. I myself got into a couple shadow-boxing duels and rolled in the mud. After Mythos (which ends at 3) I took a shower, because, well I had been rolling in mud for two hours.

Following that I immediately started to watch the most recent Caprica episode.

Right at the end of that my friend called and said that he had arrived from a neighboring college. I couldn't exactly write then because he is not a WoW player, and it would have been quite rude.

We talked programming for a bit and then watched an episode of White Collar. This ended minutes before six when we went to Deathfest. That ended at 3. At that point I decided to sleep. Because it was three. In the morning. So I slept.

This counts as yesterday's post, because I am a cheater.

I'm calling a reprieve.

So I drastically missed yesterday's posts. I mean, I'm over three hours late. But I can excuse that because I have not had a free moment all day (100% true). Anyways, I'll do a double post, double image tomorrow. I'm sorry to all my fans out there who read this religiously and then never comment. This is for you guys.

Ding!

One of my DK's just hit 70.
Nescio. Alliance. Eredar.

Additionally, I just hit 100 god-forsaken posts. This makes me proud.

Greedy Gronko wants your gold. Go me!

Manager's note

The previous post was copied from a word document- this caused the text to be in black which consequently made it invisible here on the site. I 'fixed' that by setting the color to white, but it was brought to my attention that on other sites with white backgrounds, the text will now be invisible to you. I apologize for the inconvenience, but there doesn't seem to be anything I can really do about it with this interface.

Updates!

I'm going to be processing several updates to the site.

I've joined blogazeroth.com and they have a whole section of their forums dedicated to blogger and to little gadgets I can add, so I'll be listing those gadgets as I work with them.

  1. Achievement Tracker: Using WoWArmory's new tracker I can now show you the achievements of Alenena. However, if you click on the icon on the gadget you will open up the appropriate wowhead page. In the gadget- don't do that.
  2. Label List: A list of all of my labels, and how many times I've used each of them. Standard stuff.
  3. Title Image: Managed to fix the top image to fit within the borders.
  4. Search: You can now use Google Search on the page.
  5. Resource Websites: A list of links of very good websites. Useful for everyone.
  6. RSS Subscrition Feed: You can now subscribe to the blog.
  7. Contact: My blog email where you should be able to reach me if you want to let me know about all of your brilliant ideas.

A manager's note

The previous post is all wild a wacky because I had to save it as a text document in Open Office, then send it to myself as a Google doc and then copy-pasta it into the blog. At that point it had decided to have a white background and there was nothing I could/can do about it.

Also:

tl;dr- Playing video games makes you more naturally aware of things in your peripherals and you respond to them, even without consciously knowing of their existence.

I'm tired- again...

This is becoming a trend. Bad trends are bad.

Right now I have nothing special to say about WoW so I'm going to hold off saying anything cool, but you can wait. Tomorrow I'll have something equally random to this and Friday I'll probably just post my paper that I'll be writing on attention, consciousness and video games.

Some games that I'll talk about sometime in the future:

Bioshock
Bioshock 2 (when it is released)
Oblivion
Dragon Age
KotOR II
Dungeons and Dragons Online
Star Pirates
Cyber Nations

And quite possibly some others. Probably for tomorrow though, I will write about my vunderful experience at my first con, Arisia 2010.

The Management Likes Messages

I've gotten around to putting up tags (labels) for pretty much everything and will attempt to continue to do so. I WILL have a tag for each piece, even if I don't attach it at the time of the writing.
