Lockouts
I recently decided that I wanted to get the BC dungeon reps up to exalted. Of course, the fastest way to gain rep with them is to do their heroic dungeons.
So, I decdied to start with Keepers of Time- the Bronze Dragonflight dudes in The Caverns of Time.
"Guild [Alenena]: Hey, does anyone wanna chain run H-OH for KoT rep?"
A few seconds pass, I enter H-OH and realize that I've already done it that day.
"Guild [Alenena]: nvm, I was dumb, its heroic."
So now, I wish to consider lockouts. I definitely see the need for them in raids. A good raiding guild could probably clear ICC-10 in four or five hours. If they really want loot, they could run it every day- thus raids should have weekly lock-outs. Especially end game raids.
However, there isn't really any gear at all in Naxxramas that is very good for anyone- well, its good, but you can get equal and better by running regular 5-mans. Seriously, if you chain-run the ICC-5s, you'll get better gear than you ever could out of Naxx. In fact the gear is even better than Ulduar 10.
The best gear you can get in Ulduar is 232. You can get the same in heroics. So if you want gear, it doesn't make sense at all to run Ulduar. It requires more people, takes more time, and if you don't get the item you're looking for, well, you have to wait another week to get a chance at the loot.
Burning Crusades heroics are 100% obsolete. You can get much better gear by running Wrath regular dungeons and doing quests.
It doesn't really make sense that an 80 should be locked out of a BC heroic. I can understand keeping lockouts on raids, otherwise they would be to easily farmed for gold. But there are faster ways to make money than BC heroics. I think that, if you are at the level cap, heroics from ALL previous expansions should not have a lockout. So in Cataclysm, if I wanted to, I could go back and chain PoS and try to get the battered hilt and get myself a Quel'Delar.

Tiny Tim
When I first go to Outlands on Al (my first toon there) I always got confused by the boars. See, they were about 3 times larger in each dimension than the last boars I had fought and there was nothing other than me or them to put distance in perspective.

The Clown Effect
Back when TBC came out, many people had either the standard, dull looking armor from 5-mans and others had the uniform, excellent looking armor from the raids.
Then they went to Outlands. There, they picked up greens and blues that were vastly superior to what they had and put them on.
They turned into clowns.
I don't have any Outlands toons at the moment, but look at Erthu:

His gear doesn't really go together. Admittedly, he is still in old world, but his gear is not set gear.
Compare what he has, to Alenena:
Her gear goes together, its not all of one set, but in Wrath, gear began to look less clownish, and return to the earlier armor styles in WoW- simple, semi-realistic looking. The earliest armors were unadorned, plain sheets of metal. Now, while the armor has advanced, players are no longer expected to wear a mish-mash of red, green and purple as they were in TBC. Anyways- the clown effect.

Do the wave!
I really like the way the blood elves decorate, what with their sharp curves and all. Really nice. Like the Warglaives and stuff. Yeah dawg.

Ridiculous luck.
Oh my word, this is late.
And by late I mean almost 12 hours overdue. But I have an excuse.
See, last night I raided ICC 10 for the first time on my lock (alt(another guild)) and got farther than I ever have on my paladin (main(ToC)). Then some friends were starting Black Temple. They had enough people- 13, 14 of em, but they didn't have anyone who was tank spec'd except for a 73 Warrior (friend of mine). He couldn't hold threat on them, so they called me in.
Anyways, we go through without having much trouble. When we get to the council, we wipe once because we tried to roflstomp their faces, and that fight actually needs coordination (to a small degree). The Warrior tier dropped and my friend snagged the pants.
We then proceeded to Illidan, as people are wont to do when they get to him.
We roflstomped Illidan, with me posing as both MT and OT. In this fight, my friend died (he tried to OT).
Anyways, when the boss fell over, I checked his pockets: Warglaive of Azzinoth.
My friend didn't believe me at all, I was telling him repeatedly that it had dropped. Yeah, sure... I believe you....
He got up, checked the boss and when it was called for rolls, he rolled against another guilldie (a 70 Warrior). She got a 35. My friend rolled 100. Then on more Warrior Tier that dropped he proceeded to roll a 1.
The odds of rolling a 100 on a Warglaive? 1 to 2500 against. And then rolling a 1 on the other item you want? 1 to 250,000 against.
That there folks, is one of the reasons I play WoW. For moments where you say. Oh. Holy S***.

The Maelstrom Draws Near
That would be an interesting expansion, but Cata's got the maelstrom covered. The emerald dream would be... wait, nevermind, Cata's got that too. Maybe some more about the tita- Cata's got that too? How about um... what does Cata not have? The Burning Legion, The Lich King? Thanks guys...

Time to get my PvP on!
Yeah, thats the complete lv 60 Paladin PvP set you see right there. A few days ago I saw another paladin running around Burning Steppes (I was screenshotting). He didn't have TBC and was actually killing mobs there- it was weird.

Where are the Roads?
In Classic WoW, roads were everywhere. You would be in the middle of the desert- and there would be a road. You would then walk into an ocean- and find a road.
Now, roads are few and far between. The only place you can find any is in the Borean Tundra and there it is more of a path. In all the rest of Northrend, there are no major walkways.
In Outlands, you are more likely to find a legion of squirrels (it was an interesting bug) than a road.
I like the roads to follow. I want to see the roads in Cataclysm.
On the topic of transportation in Cataclysm- it appears that we will be able to purchase 310% flying. ALL flying mounts you own will then be adapted to this velocity. If you already have a 310% mount, you will get the training FREE. It may be a cheap upgrade- 1k, or it may be as expensive as epic flying. In any case- it is a decent amount of gold saved.

Stamina
Does stamina really have a place in the game?
I mean, I know that we need stamina (and ever increasing amounts of it) to survive- especially as a tank.
However, at higher levels (meaning TBC and WotLK) probably about 90% of quest gear has stamina on it. I'm not including trinkets in this estimate. However, it seems that everything has stamina on it. Why put stamina on gear when you can just stick it on players?
I think that everyone should just have their stamina and gear that increases stamina be kept to talents and to tanking or PvP pieces.
I could see it being a problem if all priests at lv 80 had the same amount of health, but it could be easily tied to something else by way of talents. Every class needs stamina- it could just be part of the player, not the gear.
Just a thought I had- not sure if it worth anything.

The Netherwing Rep
So as you may have noticed I got my netherdrakes.
There is a beginning quest chain that will get you up from hated to neutral. It is pretty easy, but near the end there is a fight that takes a little bit of power to get you through. It is nominally a five person quest, but can be soloed at 80 if you have good healing power.
After you do that, you are assigned to infiltrate the Dragonmaw of Shadowmoon Valley. You get a few daily quests as neutral and you can also find netherwing eggs to turn in. Once you hit friendly you get another few quests available and you still have the old ones. If you have a gathering profession, I suggest gathering as much as you can because there is a chance that they will drop eggs (about 1%). At honored, more quests open up and more dailies. At revered a few quests send you wandering, but it isn't too hard to do them, especially at 80.
If you only do your dailies and don't gather any eggs, it should take approximately two weeks.
However, it is very helpful if you do collect the eggs, it brought my total time down from fourteen days to five. I would very strongly suggest getting the addons Gatherer and the WoWhead Gatherer database.
The best place to find the eggs (esp for miners) is within the caves. They spawn all throughout it so you have to explore it fully but there is a chance they drop off the mobs and the nodes.
For all the mobs on the island there is a 1% chance that they will drop an egg. Over the course of these past five or so days, I probably killed around 500-700 mobs.
So go out there and get your netherdrakes!
